Minister for Foreign Affairs Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has announced that it is now possible to acquire a passport in a day.
This is a clear departure from the era where passport seekers spent months, years and good money to middlemen to secure the international document.
It is also part of bold and innovative passport reforms the Ministry is embarking on to relieve passport seekers of the usual challenges they go through.
It is anticipated that this will bring clear comfort to everyone including those with medical emergency. Implementation the Minister state begins tomorrow, Thursday, November 13, 2025.
In a post on social media, the Minister added that “Your GHS350 new passport application fee will still guarantee you an efficient and convenient delivery in less than 15-days. This novel service is strictly for same-day deliveries”.
