The Agona West Health Directorate, in a strategic collaboration with the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, is rolling out a comprehensive Free Screening and Surgical Outreach programme exclusively for residents of the constituency , a life-saving initiative fully sponsored by Hon. Ernestina Ofori Dangbey, Member of Parliament for Agona West.
The five-day medical mission, scheduled from April 20 to April 24, 2026, will deliver critical diagnostic services and perform surgeries at no cost to beneficiaries. The outreach targets a range of prevalent but often untreated conditions, including Hernia, Undescended Testes, Fibroids, Hydrocele, Hemorrhoids, Lipoma, Breast Lumps, and Gangli.
Speaking on the urgency of the intervention, health officials underscored that many residents endure these ailments in silence due to financial constraints and limited access to specialist care. The outreach is therefore designed to dismantle barriers to surgical healthcare, restore dignity, and avert complications arising from prolonged neglect.
Registration is mandatory and strictly limited to Agona West residents. Prospective beneficiaries are directed to enroll at their nearest health facility within Agona West to secure screening and subsequent surgical slots. No walk-ins from outside the constituency will be accommodated, ensuring that resources remain dedicated to the target population.

Hon. Ernestina Ofori Dangbey’s sponsorship reflects a deepening commitment to equitable healthcare delivery and grassroots welfare. The collaboration with Cape Coast Teaching Hospital guarantees access to specialist surgeons, modern theatre standards, and post-operative follow-up hallmarks of quality care rarely accessible at zero cost.
Residents are urged to take decisive advantage of this time-bound opportunity. Early registration is strongly advised due to anticipated high demand.
