The Ghana Football Association says it will review and strengthen security protocols for clubs’ travel following the fatal armed robbery attack that claimed the life of Berekum Chelsea player Dominic Frimpong. Frimpong reportedly lost his life when the team was ambushed along the Goaso–Bibiani road near Ahyiresu in the Ahafo Region, by armed men who reportedly blocked the road and opened fire on the team vehicle. Ghanaian rapper Okyeame Kwame has called for increased recognition of instrumentalists and live musicians in Ghana’s award schemes.
