The Minister of Education, Mr. Haruna Iddrisu, has announced that Ghana has been chosen to host 2025, trial of the Association for the Development of Education (ADEA) in Africa, this month.

The event will be held at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra from October 29 to 31, 2025.

The conference is expected to gather 350 attendees, including more than 30 Education Ministers, high-level representatives from the World Bank, African Development Bank, UNESCO, Gates Foundation, Mastercard Foundation, senior policymakers, thought leaders, researchers, and academics.

The focus will be on sharing knowledge and evidence about innovative approaches to enhance education in Africa.

Key discussion topics will include strategies to improve foundational learning, using technology and data to boost learning outcomes, and advancing technical and higher education.

The event will also look into the effects of artificial intelligence on education, particularly how it will change learning, teaching, and education governance in the future.

This conference will serve as a platform for sharing knowledge, peer learning, and building partnerships among education sector stakeholders.

Participants will explore effective strategies to turn educational challenges into opportunities and develop solutions to various problems.

Ghana’s goal to eliminate learning poverty by 2035 will be emphasized, as the country shares its vision and experiences with Africa and the world.

His Excellency, President John Dramani Mahama, will open the event.

The conference aims to enhance learning outcomes for millions of African children and commit to actions that will improve education across the continent.

Ghana’s success in reintegrating out-of-school children will be presented as a model for other nations to follow.
