The family of the President of the Private Newspapers and Online News Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG), David Sitsope Tamakloe, has extended heartfelt appreciation to individuals, institutions and well-wishers who supported them during the burial of their late father, Papa Paul Kofi Governor Tamakloe, which took place at Klikor in the Volta region, over the weekend.
In a statement issued shortly after the final funeral rites, the Tamakloe family conveyed profound gratitude to government officials, traditional leaders, religious bodies, the media fraternity and the general public for their overwhelming show of love, solidarity and compassion.
“We are deeply touched by the outpouring of support we received during this difficult period. Your presence, prayers, donations and kind messages gave us strength and comfort as we laid our beloved father to rest,” the statement read.
The family paid special tribute to colleagues within the media landscape, particularly members of PRINPAG, for standing firmly with them throughout the mourning period.
They also acknowledged the role of the clergy for their spiritual guidance, as well as friends and sympathizers who travelled from far and near to attend the funeral.
Describing the late patriarch as a pillar of strength and a man of integrity, the family said the dignified burial accorded him was a testament to the impact he made during his lifetime.
“As we mourn, we are encouraged by the legacy he leaves behind — one of humility, discipline and service to humanity,” the statement added.
The Tamakloe family concluded by praying for blessings upon all who supported them and urged continued remembrance of their late father in prayers.
The burial ceremony, which attracted a large gathering, was marked by solemn tributes and reflections on the life and values of the late Patriarch.
