Health Minister Slams Scandalous Drone Rip-Off Deal

    By Prince Ahenkorah

Taxpayers are being fleeced blind by the so-called “lifesaver” Zipline drone service, which has turned into a flying farce hauling condoms, mosquito nets, and even school uniforms instead of the emergency medical supplies it was meant to deliver!

In a bombshell exposé at the Government Accountability Series on December 1, Health Minister Kwabena Mintah Akandoh ripped the lid off the mess, revealing a laundry list of non-essential junk being airlifted: blood-donor cards, junk food supplements, sticky tapes, syringes, needles, textbooks you name it, Zipline’s delivering it, but not the life-or-death stuff Ghanaians desperately need.

“This was supposed to be for remote areas and true emergencies! But get this only 12% of flights hit hard-to-reach spots, and a pathetic 4% carry actual emergency goods,” thundered the Minister, his face a mask of fury.

“We’re grilling Zipline hard on this nonsense and the GH¢174 million debt we owe them because every cedi must count, or heads will roll!”

The outrage explodes as Zipline shutters three drone bases over the unpaid bills, leaving rural folks high and dry while the service splurges on frivolities.

Enter Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga, who blasted the whole shebang as a “monumental mismanagement of public cash” and demanded the contract be torched immediately. “This drone debacle delivers zero value just endless excuses and empty promises!”

As the nation reels from this aerial atrocity, one thing’s crystal clear: Ghana’s health lifeline has been hijacked by hype and handouts. Time to ground this greedy gimmick and get back to saving lives not shipping school supplies.
