BOSTenergies has reaffirmed its dedication to enhancing healthcare in Ghana by donating GH₵1 million to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund (GMTF). This contribution strengthens the Fund’s goal of providing life-saving treatments for Ghanaians suffering from chronic and life-threatening diseases.
The donation will aid the Ghana Medical Trust Fund in financing specialized healthcare for patients who cannot afford treatment, while also increasing access to essential medical services and reducing the financial strain on many families nationwide.
While presenting the cheque, BOSTenergies’ Managing Director, Afetsi Awoonor, expressed pride in partnering with an organization that is making a significant impact on the lives of everyday Ghanaians.
He stated, “Healthcare is one of the most important investments a nation can make. At BOSTenergies, we believe every Ghanaian should have the chance to receive quality medical care, regardless of their financial situation. The Ghana Medical Trust Fund offers hope to those who have nearly lost it, and we are honored to support this important national initiative.”
Mr. Awoonor highlighted that the donation showcases the company’s commitment to responsible corporate citizenship and urged other businesses to join the growing national effort to support specialized healthcare.
He stressed, “This contribution is not just a donation; it is an investment in lives, families, and the future of our country. We invite Corporate Ghana to participate because together we can improve healthcare and ensure that no patient is denied treatment due to cost.”
Receiving the donation on behalf of the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, Administrator Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku, expressed deep gratitude to BOSTenergies for their trust in the Fund’s mission and for standing with patients facing some of the toughest health challenges in the country.
“This generous donation will directly save lives. It will enable us to assist more patients needing specialized treatment for chronic illnesses, offer hope to families who have run out of options, and enhance our efforts to make quality healthcare available to all Ghanaians,” she stated.
She referred to the contribution as a strong endorsement of the Trust Fund and highlighted that collaborations with the private sector are crucial for achieving universal access to specialized healthcare.
Ms. Obuobia Darko-Opoku stressed, “We are very thankful to BOSTenergies for supporting our vision. Every cedi donated brings hope to someone in need of chemotherapy, dialysis, heart surgery, brain surgery, or another life-saving procedure. Together, we are creating a healthcare system where no Ghanaian is left behind due to financial constraints.”
She also urged more businesses, organizations, and individuals to contribute to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, pointing out that donations are fully tax-deductible, allowing companies to meet their corporate social responsibility while benefiting from significant tax advantages.
