Dr. Gabriel Kwamigah-Atokple (Chief Tanko), Volta region’s member of the Council of State, has on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, accompanied His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, on a working visit to the Volta Region.
The visit to Fuveme in the Anloga District was to inspect communities affected by recent tidal waves and engage residents on both immediate relief and long-term coastal protection measures, allowing the President and his team to better appreciate the realities on the ground and tailor interventions that directly impact livelihoods.
On the sidelines of the visit, Dr. Kwamigah-Atokple had the privilege of interacting briefly with President Mahama as they both discussed key developmental issues across the country.
The Council of State Member reaffirmed his commitment to continue offering his advice and support to the president and the government in the interest of national development.
The visit, described by residents as historic, is expected to further consolidate government’s development efforts while reinforcing collaboration between national leadership and grassroots communities.
