Member of Parliament for Keta, Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, has denied allegations of diverting funds meant for the construction of the Afiadenyigba-Havedzi road to organize his late mother’s funeral.
Gakpey who almost shed tears during his “Accounting to the People” engagement at Anlo-Afiadenyigba, described the allegations as false and hurtful and aimed at tarnishing his reputation and integrity.
According to him, the development of the area, was very dear to his heart for which reason he would never misapply funds meant for such causes.
The MP reaffirmed his dedication to pushing for road projects and other infrastructure in the constituency, urging residents to “verify information before spreading it.”
He further warned that unfounded claims could erode public trust and stall development efforts.
The MP’s “Accounting to the People” engagement was aimed at improving accountability and bringing clarity to the status of ongoing projects in the Keta Constituency.
