WHY PEOPLE CAN’T FACE TRUTH
Truth imposes responsibility on people. Embracing that responsibility could result in inconveniences that can include:
1. Leaving your comfort zome
2. Reduction or deminishing your daily bread, even if temporarily…..livelihood loss
3. Loss of your safety
4. Loss of inheritance
5. Forfeiture of opportunities
Example:
When people from other faiths come to know the truth of who the Lord Jesus is, they push it away through:
1. Intellectual dishonesty
2. Preference for misinformation
Both of these drive them away from the responsibility that accepting the true identity of Christ imposes on them, that is to be his follower.
We know that in many faiths such as Islam, that decision can and most often results in:
1. Capital punishment
2. Ex-communication from the family
3. Denial of inheritance
opportunities
4. Etc, etc.
So comparing the privileges your status quo gives you to unknown future, the normal thing to do is ignore the reality and even make it look an absurdity(ridiculousness/foolishness) and turn against it and make others also turn away from it, actively or passively. But this INTENTIONAL DENIAL does not nullify the FACT of who the Lord Jesus is.
Now bring this to the WESTERN TOGOLAND CASE.
FACTS:
1. They were not Gold Coasters
2. Thet have never been colonized by any foreign forces
3. The May 9, 1956 Plebiscite was not only a Colonial British sham, but also never made them Ghanaiains because it was never ratified and its terms of a UNION between Western Togoland and Ghana had not been carried out……No Union Agreement or Union Constitution between them.
4. There is abundant evidence that Britain convived to get them integtrated into her Gold Coast/Ghana
5. The terms of the UN Trusteeship Charter Article IB had never been fulfilled concerning Western/British Togoland, hence it remains by international law a bonafide UN Trust Territory
6. The UN had not re-assigned Western Togoland….its Trust Territory….to Ghana after Britain craftily misled it to server its Caretakership/Togoland Agreement of 1946.
So what else must it take to convince Western Togolanders…..its Traditional Authorities, Politicians, and grassroots natives….that they are not legal Ghanaians, and that their Ghanaian identity is FRAUDULENT?
And are they saying Akans know their history better than they themselves? Is this not demeaning, that other tribes know their history better than they?
The Freelance Journalist Bobby Quarqoo has brought this truth to their door steps through his reports and publications backed by facts. So the seeming rejections are not based on ignorance but the fear of responsibility that acceptance demands.
But for how long shall they collectively turn their eyes away from the consequences of rejecting the TRUTH OF WHO THEY ARE? And are their hearts and consciences forgiving them of that neglegence of responsibility?
Just as denying the identity of Christ does not nullify who he is, the same way denying the fact that Western/Bristish Togoland has never been a lawful part of Ghana, and hence its citizens are NOT legal Ghanaians, does not nullify this TRUTH.
But TRUTH can also be LEBERATING/EMPOWERING, because KNOWLEDGE IS POWER. And that is
why the UN has put in place conventions that enable people who discovered their lost identities to exercise their inalienable write to pursue their self-determination. But this discovery and pursuits pose a threat to the interests of those benefitting from their lost identities. So like Ghana, they try to burn their records and use brute force to intimidate them, not caring about their obligations to the very International Conventions they signed and ratified. Yet they claim they comply with their international obligations! They get away with this because the UN has been reduced to a toothless dog, only obeying the orders of superpowers and big business.
A people who have self-esteem will value their heritage and defend it to their last blood drop. They can learn from the Palestinians and Iran.
